The ability to make high quality decisions is an acquired capability. But there is always
another alternative (if you don't make up your mind, someone else will decide for you…)
Decision making processes are fascinating. My interest was first aroused when I was involved in numerous bad decision processes, which have led, in most cases, to very bad decisions, and I have learnt a lot from them in hindsight. Consciously improving decision making processes is a viable (although not simple) task, but done properly it makes all the difference in the world (and is a long term competitive advantage!). I now try to bring both my scholarly and practical experience into the game, and let me tell you – the capacity to make decisions can be improved beyond expectations.
